Anthony Muhammad, PhD, is a much sought-after educational consultant. A practitioner for nearly twenty years, he has served as a middle school teacher, assistant principal, and principal and as a high school principal. His Transforming School Culture approach explores the root causes of staff resistance to change. Anthony's tenure as a practitioner has earned him several awards as both a teacher and a principal. We used this book as a mini-book study to bring culture into our planning for the upcoming school year. It was amazing how many of our schools and teams within the schools could relate. Really, this book could impact any team and their culture whether in education or not.
Great book for any current or future school leader. When tough subjects are discussed there is no effort made to sugar coat the truth, i.e. race to the top and NCLB are arguably the worst programs to drive school change in history.
Very helpful book, but I wish there was more concerning the fundamentalists in an organization.
