This text is highly engaging, motivating, and drives the spirit. As a 28 year old who teaches adolescents, it made me realize how much I need to grow up. I am part of a demographic that encompasses the concept of 20teen. Though this book promotes youth, it is important to live as an adult while maintaining a young spirit.

One of the best books I've read.

Outstanding

Must read item for all the youth.

This book might give helpful encouraging advise but I learned the hard way that the soka gakki is really a cult and I wanted to warn people so that they don't get hurt by it like me.

When our son was diagnosed with autism at 18 months, we were anxious for anything we could get our hands on to help us understand what we were dealing with. Our early intervention therapist (a 70 y/o little Japanese lady who is an EXPERT in the field and specializes in kids with special sensory needs like ours) highly recommended this book for us, so I bought it right away. It's wonderful and very helpful/insightful. I highly recommend to any parent of an autistic child or even just one with special sensory needs.

I purchased this book a few years ago, shortly after my son was diagnosed with the second of his 5 diagnoses, Sensory Modulation Disorder (rated severe). Though I worked in healthcare, I was never clinical staff. I spent some time in management purgatory, but my favorite job was in clinical outcomes as a research analyst. So while I had some familiarity with a wide range of topics because of that, the healthcare organization I worked for dealt with mostly geriatric populations, so conditions specific to that group are the areas I was most familiar with. So, I knew enough to recognize generally what was going on with my son when all heck started breaking loose, and if there is any one thing I think I should get a gold star on it was pushing to get him evaluated early on, but I didn't have as many specifics as I felt like I needed to effectively deal with what was happening on the ground level as his mom and primary caregiver. So I started reading as much as I could, and this was one of the first resources I picked up.Because things were jaw dropping. Walk by somebody smoking a cigarette? Gagging and sometimes vomiting. Foamy things touching him? The gagging and always vomiting if it wasn't removed within seconds. Strong smelling cleaners: vomiting until he couldn't smell them anymore. Certain food textures? Vomiting. Over-stuffing his mouth and choking because he couldn't feel how full it was. Clothes? Medieval torture devices based on how he reacted to them. People touching him or getting too close? Hysterics, and sometimes vomiting. Needed constant motion to sleep. Extremely hyper sensitive to sounds and visual stimuli. Hours of meltdowns a day. No reaction to deep pressure impacts, even of a serious nature. Certain things touching his skin, including water? Serious freak outs. 15 minutes or more of screaming with a small scratch. Trying to dive down the stairs...because hey, he couldn't feel what it was doing to his body when he hit the bottom. Sometimes, he'd just walk up to the floor lean on his knees, and then try to crack his forehead on the tile. Yah, that one caused me to get large plush throw pillows to cover the floor with until we could get this behavior resolved and transitioned to something more appropriate with therapy. Picking up my end tables or boxes of rice milk from Costco and throwing them. I could go on, believe me. And, if you are a parent trying to figure out of this book will help you understand what is going on with your kiddo, I'm sure you could go on too about your own struggles, because some of this may sound like your kid, but he/she may have their own challenges that are uniquely theirs. And if I were there where you are, I'd give you a hug and a shoulder, because I'm sure you need it right about now.So, I think this book did a really great job of explaining the types of sensory processing disorders and some things to help with them, and you don't need a medical background at all to understand it the way she explains it. And I think this will give you some great ideas for how to explain things to the people around you, who most likely have decided that the problem is either you've messed up as a parent or that your child is just plain naughty, neither of which are true. So it can be great to have a good foundation for educating the people around you, because, as the author says in this book, “the inability to function smoothly is not because the child won't, but because he can't.”I find that, for my son, as we've been going through the process of sensory integration therapy over the last few years, his sensory issues and needs are ever changing, so I think it is great to have this as a resource to refer back to when needed. Even though my son has gone on to be diagnosed with a few other things, what I can say is that his sensory stuff, though we are still fighting that battle, is so much improved it's a joy to see. He's only vomited once in the past year for a sensory related issue. Other people can now touch him. He's touching things he would never have considered touching before and enjoying it. He's usually sleeping about 7 hours throughout the night without any sort of motion. We can take him out into public without me needing to scrub either one of us down in the bathroom. He can feel some deep pressure impacts now. This book can help you, getting a good occupational therapist can help you, and I also did purchase her book “The Out-of-Sync Child Has Fun” to peruse for extra ideas for things to do at home to help encourage sensory integration as well. And I personally recommend educating yourself as much and as extensively as you have time to be able to and to not be afraid to try something new or creative if you think it may help. For me, I feel like if I've just learned one thing from an article or a book that makes a difference in improving the quality of life for my son and his ability to interact with the world, then it was time well spent. And I definitely would rate this book as being time well spent.

I ordered three copies of this book after stumbling upon the audio version on my local library app, why you may ask, we will get to that later in the review. If you have or THINK you might have a child that has Sensory Process Disorder issues, then this book is something you NEED to read. My daughter is 4 and goes to occupational therapy twice a week for SPD. I found everything in the book helpful and more so, it was comforting. Comforting to know that this IS a real thing, comforting to know that I'm not some crazy mom that searching for a "label" to smack on their kid, comforting to know that it isn't my parenting or something I'm doing wrong. This book (along with Peaceful Parent, Happy Kid which is awesome, by the way) has been a light in a first time mother's very stressful, very overwhelming, very emotional life. My daughter is hard, she is simply hard...hard to deal with, hard to approach, hard to get to listen, just hard. The smallest simplest things are battles, she was a hard newborn, a hard infant, a hard baby, a hard toddler and now a hard kid. Nothing, absolutely nothing is easy with her. It has been 4 years of battles, struggles, crying, no sleeping, noise issues, no brushing teeth, clothes issues, settling down issues, sitting still issues, eating issues, just trading one set of problems for a new set. And in this book, I saw, I wasn't alone, it isn't my parenting style, it isn't a phantom label, this is a real thing and kids and their parents struggle with it.This book tells you the science behind SPD, it tells you what to look for with real life examples, it shows you how OT can help, it explains things in ways that a sleep deprived mother can understand and find solace in. It gives you ways to help your child, it gives you hope. It is worth every single penny. Now you must still be wondering, well why did the obviously tired mother here, need THREE copies?Well, one for my husband - who is pretty supportive, however, when our child is acting off the rails, he does agree she isn't "a normal kid", wasn't completely sold on SPD. He read this book at a snails pace, but I'll give him mad props, he DID read it...and he sees our child in the same light i saw her in after reading and listening to this book. The second copy went to the MIL - cue the cricket noises, please...What i got from her after she blew through the book was...."what they describe could be ANY child" and she filled out the traits and didn't really see how her perfect little grandchild "fits" in the SPD category (AND I'm going to be petty enough to mention that this same MIL won't watch the child for more than one night because she is "exhausting"). So there was that, I think I deserve an award or at least a glass of wine for trying. The third book is for me, it sits on my desk at work. Like I mentioned before it gave me comfort and reminds me ways to best approach my sensory seeker to make both our lives easier. So there you have it. This book, although is amazing, it isn't a miracle worker and will not serve as an eye opening scientifically proven manual to those who don't believe in SPD as a "thing", but it DOES help anyone who is looking for advice, science, and answers to weather their child has Sensory Processing Disorder.

Fascinating book. Would reccomend to anyone caring for a child with SPD, or even simply sensory issues. It's a relatively easy read with a TON of practical and helpful information. My son has some sensory issues, and there are parts of this book that are like reading a day in my life. So helpful and informative, but also encouraging for those who are just beginning the journey of sensory disorders with their children. Whether a child in your life has been officually diagnosed with SPD, or you just have a child who struggles with some sensory things, things book is a great resource!NOTE: I'm all for purchasing used books, however this one might me worth buying new. There is at least one questionnaire in the book where you check off these answer that most pertains to your kid. While I was able to make it work, it would have been nice to go through the questionnaire without the markings of the previous owner.

This book really gets to the heart of any parent who has a child who isn't quite "in sync" with his/her world and/or family. There are many great explanations and possible resolutions to problems. I have two children who I have decided need some evaluation to see where they might get help for our problems. A great read with numerous resources. I highly recommend this book.

Olivia's Review:Tsunami is finally going home to the kingdom of the sea. But she doesn't know what mysterious things have been happening, and Queen Coral, Tsunami's mother has had her daughters mysteriously destroyed in their eggs. Tsunami is determined to save the last surviving egg and discovers secrets even her mother didn't know of.I like the mysteries, they are very strange and can be a bit spooky at times, but also a story filled with magic and fun. I can't wait for the next book, I just finished Escaping Peril. I really want a book about Kinkajou.I think that this book is a bit scary and readers should be prepared. Also, beware of enchanted statues.Bah Bah Buuuuumm!Mom Says:Really after she leaves you with a Bah Bah Buuuuumm I am not sure what else I can say, haha.A few things...the world building for The Kingdom of The Sea is fantastic. Anytime a young reader can fully visualize the world they are reading about and get excited about it you know you have a winner. One of my favorite things about this series in fact is it's ease at pulling in reluctant readers and turning them into book-a-holics.I like that in this series each book gives us the point of view of a different Dragonet, but continues with the main original characters each fighting their own battles and working together to discover their world and find their way.As with the first book there are some moments that may be more difficult for sensitive readers, particularly one moment that involves Tsunami's father. There are not too many scary moments so don't let that keep you from getting this book, but you might have a moment where your reader needs to talk to you about what is happening. Of course if they are anything like my MG reader, they will want to talk your ear off about all these books regardless of any scary moments, these are books I find that readers just HAVE to share! This is a great book for Middle Grade readers, particularly reluctant readers. The books are both fun, with sarcastic and witty characters, they are balanced with poignant moments and battles. I do recommend that they be read in order, you will be missing out on important facts by reading them out of order. A great addition to any teachers classroom library!

Our daughters love these books, including this one. They say the writing flows very well, easy to read, great adventures and they breezed right through the series. They can't put these books down! Highly recommended. (Our daughters started reading these when they were eight; one is now nine and the other ten. They have read all of the series including the Warriors series, Wings of Fire series, Seekers series, and Survivors series). They did not like the Survivors series at all. Our daughters did not like the Survivors series because they felt that all the characters were too similar to each-other and the plot appeared to be unorganized and missed it's meaning completely, (vague, confusing plot). In addition, my daughters state that the characters in Survivors appeared to be whinny and undesirable (difficult to connect with).

Wings of Fire is an expansive Middle Grade series taking place in a violent war where dragons are being slaughtered left and right in a race to see which SandWing princess can win the war and claim the crown or take over the world. The Lost Heir is book two in this series and follows the story of Tsunami and her friends as they travel to find her parents.Tsunami is my least favorite of the dragonets after Starfight. Both of them have such know-it-all personalities that it drives me nuts. Granted, as these are children's books, the characters grow out of it, and I like the character development that Tsunami has in this book. You see the thoughts behind her actions and watch as she has to take a step back and realize just because she is a princess and is the fiercest of the dragonets doesn't mean she knows everything or is equip to take on every problem by her methods. This is proven in the very beginning of the book where the dragonets are hiding from a SkyWing patrol and Tsunami nearly kills one of the SkyWings because she reacts to his yawning as a threat (she didn't see the yawn as he was facing away from her). This causes a rift between her and the others, but this is what allows her to grow and understand she needs to watch a bit before she acts.I love how the dragons are developed through this book. You get a great picture of how kind, stern, and somewhat egotistical Queen Coral is. Blister is absolutely terrifying and needs to die because she's too smart for her own good. The descriptions of the SeaWing palaces are super well done and easy to visual the richness of the world we live in. Animus dragons are introduced in this book as well (they were mentioned in book one), and their powers are both amazing and terrifying. Animus dragons have a mixture of telepathy, telekinesis, and the ability to enchant objects. The magic is explained to be hereditary but no one knows where it came from.All-in-all, this was a great sequel to the first book and did a wonderful job developing the world in a subtle way. Sending the drgaonets off to find their families allows Tui Sutherland to develop each character individually as well as the world around them and increase the conflict in the story as they meet people who wish to kill, use, or imprison them.

At first, I was mildly disappointed that the POV changed from Clay to Tsunami, but soon got used to it.The book was great otherwise, though for some reason I felt like Riptide was slightly annoying; I kind of think he was just added in to add a romance for Tsunami. I found the plot twist at the end unexpected and interesting, however, and throughout the book I found myself wondering what was going to happen next. All in all, a thrilling book that keeps you reading.

This is an intriguing series for young readers. It's creative, cohesive and very unique. I bought this set of books as a gift (I found the price was better buying each individually rather than as a set). The reader was so delighted that I even pre-ordered the newest book. Please click "helpful" if you liked this review. :)

Aside from the subject matter being unique, the take is so well told. It might bee aimed at young adults but as an older adult with less patience for thick or complicated novels, the clarity and consistency of the through line enchanted me.

Richard Peck is my favorite author. Even though he writes for young readers, I love to read his books. They are entertaining and an easy/fast read, often with unexpected humor . This one was very different from other books of his that. I have read. Ireally enjoyed the mystery in this real life story of the Civil War. However If you are buying it for a young reader, I suggest you read it first or read it with him/her so you can explain the meeting of some characters and situations. But for me, an old retired teacher, I loved it!

I read this book because it was one of my 13 year old granddaughter's summer reading books while we were at the beach together. I really did not know anything about the mulatto society in New Orleans or about the conflicts in the Caribbean. I love historical fiction and this was one of the best that I have read lately.

This book had me wanting to know what happened next. The mystery of Delphine and Calinda made this book intriguing to read.

Good

A very well written book.

Loved this book!

Excellent book by Richard Peck. Very thought provoking for what I would consider an "easy read."

The Gospel of Thomas: The Gnostic Wisdom of Jesus, by Jean Yves Leloup

From Publishers Weekly

Leloup (The Gospel of Mary Magdalene; The Gospel of Philip), founder of the Institute of Other Civilization Studies and the International College of Therapists, reminds readers early in his introduction that "whether we like it or not, Yeshua of Nazareth was not a writer. It is therefore impossible to speak of 'the authentic words of Jesus.' " Because spoken words, later recorded, bear the indelible imprint of the listener, Leloup emphasizes that they represent only part of the truth; he invites us to consider the Gospels as a whole as "[d]ifferent points of view that exist both within us and outside of us, in historical and meta-historical dimensions." Thus he humbly offers his translation as one among many. Following the complete text of the Gospel of Thomas, presented in both Coptic and an elegantly translated English (by Joseph Rowe, from the French) Leloup delicately unfolds its petals of meaning, logion (saying) by logion. Simultaneously inspiring and enlightening, his interpretation far surpasses mere exegesis, instead intricately melding the now with the then, the self with the Christ. Paraphrases from Meister Eckhart intermingle with quotations from Kafka and Dostoyevski, which coincide with wide-ranging religious references—from Judaism and Greek Orthodoxy to Krishnamurti and Shankara. If ever a translation of Thomas's gospel merited a place in a reader's back pocket, this is it. (Apr.) Copyright © Reed Business Information, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.

Review

"Among all the astonishing documents unearthed in 1945 near the desert village of Nag Hammadi, the Gospel of Thomas has made the greatest impact on our understanding of Christianity. . . . The words in this text have the power to touch an unknown part of ourselves that brings with it an undeniable recognition of truth and hope." (Jacob Needleman, author of Lost Christianity and The American Soul)"In this remarkable book, scholar-mystic Jean-Yves Leloup invites us to meditate on the ‘eternal jewel,’ the revelation of Jesus, and on the reign of God spread all around us, within and without. May these logia of Jesus translated from the Gospel of Thomas fall on good soil and yield a bountiful harvest of peace, justice, and enlightenment." (Margaret Starbird, author of The Woman with the Alabaster Jar: Mary Magdalen and the Holy Grail)"Leloup (The Gospel of Mary Magdalene; The Gospel of Philip), founder of the Institute of Other Civilization Studies and the International College of Therapists, reminds readers early in his introduction that 'whether we like it or not, Yeshua of Nazareth was not a writer. It is therefore impossible to speak of 'the authentic words of Jesus'.' Because spoken words, later recorded, bear the indelible imprint of the listener, Leloup emphasizes that they represent only part of the truth; he invites us to consider the Gospels as a whole as '[d]ifferent points of view that exist both within us and outside of us, in historical and meta-historical dimensions.' Thus he humbly offers his translation as one among many. Paraphrases from Meister Eckhart intermingle with quotations from Kafka and Dostoyevski, which coincide with wide-ranging religious references--from Judaism and Greek Orthodoxy to Krishnamurti and Shankara. If ever a translation of Thomas's gospel merited a place in a reader's back pocket, this is it." (Publisher's Weekly, March 14, 2005)"I'm very impressed with this new book on the Gospel of Thomas, and even the Forward offers much insight and depth. In his Forward, Jacob Needleman suggests that the proper work of the mind is to function at two levels: the level of silence and the level of expression, with the former being superior to the latter, and that the wisdom borne out of the depths of contemplative silence is what's dangerously lacking in the world today, what he calls 'the tragedy of our modern era.' 'What our modern world has suffered from most of all is runaway ideology, the agitated attachment to ideas that thereby become the playthings of infrahuman energies. This is the great danger of all ideologies, whether political, religious, or academic.' He observes that the energy that must guide us can only come from another, higher level within the human psyche, 'a level that is experienced as silence.'"The Format: The first section of Jean-Yves Leloup's latest book presents the text of the Gospel of Thomas in the Coptic language on the left-hand pages, and the English translations on the pages to the right. Even if you have other versions of Thomas, it would be quite useful to also have this one, as there are some important differences. The rest of the book consists of the commentary on each of the one hundred fourteen proverbs and parables of 'Yeshua the Living One,' many of which seem as terse and enigmatic as Zen koans, the mystic-wisdom of an Eastern Sage. The collection begins with this mysterious statement: 'Whoever lives the interpretation of these words will no longer taste death.'"At last! someone who is a contemplative soul has published some valuable reflections on this Gnostic Gospel found at Nag Hammadi in Egypt. In The Gospel of Thomas, Jean-Yves Leloup presents not so much a commentary on these ancient sayings of Yeshua, but a meditation 'that arises from the tilled earth of our silence.' He says that 'it is from this ground of inner silence, rather than from mental agitation, that these words of Yeshua can bear their fruit of Light.' He writes, 'Pope Gregory I said that only a prophet could understand the prophets. And it is said that only a poet can understand a poet. Who, then, must we be in order to understand Yeshua?' Perhaps only a lover of Gnosis can truly appreciate the wisdom of a Gnostic Gospel. Leloup is the founder of the Institute of Other Civilization Studies and the International College of Therapists. His other books include the bestselling, The Gospel of Mary Magdalene and The Gospel of Philip." (James Bean, Spiritual Awakening Radio Productions)"If you're looking for a coherent translation and commentary of The Gospel of Thomas I think this is it." This stuff is deep. And I can see why it was kept out of the connical gospels. I guess I'm a Gnostic now. And that's a-ok with me!All I say is keep an open mind!👍🏾

Thomas leaned more toward the esoteric East than the "law & order" Roman West. I wish I had been taught from this book instead of :"Jesus died for you, you disgusting little worm." Seeking the Light inside so you can see the Light in others is a much more inviting outlook & philosophy than the Black & White dichotomy taught by most christian sects. Imagine church fathers were terrified their sheep would wander away, so they called this a heresy and tried to destroy all copies. And look at where christian churches are today...millionaire politicians preaching hate.I very much appreciate Jean-Yves LeLoup's interpretations of each logion. I'll stick with the gnostics who sought Truth instead of Law & Order millionaires to lead them to the Light.

This gospel is like a collection of nomothetic, gnostic Zen Koans. An enlightened person is trying to help out us deluded humans. I have returned to it many times during my life. Now I read a page every evening, and try to figure out what it might mean. The first page is easy but, after that it require more nonlinear, experiential thinking.

After reading the sample, it took many months for me to finally purchase. The book is fascinating.Another perspective of some familiar sayings of Jesus /Yeshua,and some not found in the Canon. For seekers of spiritual knowledge a must read. The authors translation, and insight made this a memorable read, one that will keep me thinking about the now,how important it is that all God's children (that would be everyone on earth)should love one another...5 stars

Very informative, another great book on the Gospel of ST. The interpretations vary from author to author so get other books on S T

This is one of those books that will become a reference in my personal library. The Gospel of Thomas, and the author's interpretation, offers a perspective on the teachings of Jesus that is often radically different from Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

The very last comment attributed to Jesus shows why this gospel didn't make the cut. Another gospel that has good commentary and a fresh look atsome of the phrases and saying that have been attributed to Jesus. Any and all about the time when the writers were not literate and the thingsthey wrote about contains the oral tradition help give one a new perspective. How can the gospels be accurate descriptions of events that took place 70-100 years before they were written.

This book brought me close to Jesus, or Yeshua as he is called here, in a way I never knew I could be. Finally, the parables and teachings are accessible in sensitive and direct poetic discourse. Thank you!

This book is great for those in the Reno/Tahoe area with dogs. The author has done her research and made it easy for the rest of us. Some information was out of date, but overall you can find good places to take your pet.

There's no map! It's frustrating to find hikes near you when there isn't a map. You have to look up each location and guess where it might be based off the distance from Reno. I hope the next edition has a map with the location of the climbs!

A Bark in the Park is a delightful book. Sherril Steele-Carlin covers everything you want to or need to know to walk with your dog in the Reno-Tahoe area, and provides good advice on walking with your dog anywhere. She begins by listing, among other useful items, some tips on physical conditioning, warns of a few hazards you may encounter, covers leash laws, and lists the contents of a first aid kit you should carry.Detailed descriptions include directions, a brief history of each park, and "Bonus" items, such as a visitor center, historic sites, or an off-leash area for dogs to enjoy. This is a wonderfully comprehensive guide to almost 100 places to hike with your dog.

I love to walk and hike with my dog, Maggie, and I'm always looking for new places to walk her in Reno and Lake Tahoe. This book has been such a great inspiration -- I've found some new trails and rediscovered some old favorites as a result of picking up this book. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves to hike with their dog and is looking for some new trails, along with some old favorites they might have forgotten.

This book was great to have as I'm not that familiar with the Tahoe area. I only got to do three hikes listed in the book but they were amazing and I probably wouldn't have known where to go w/o this book. The only thing really missing from this book is a MAP! Otherwise well worth the money.

Tao Te Ching: With Comparative Quotes From Aristotle to Zhuangzi, by A J Girling

Review

Tao Te Ching: With Comparative Quotes from Aristotle to Zhuangzi is an exploration of the pure hearts of the worlds religions and philosophies, seen through the eyes of a practicing Taoist. The classic text of Taoism, the Tao Te Ching, with its concise yet penetrating insights, forms the backbone of the work. Each verse is accompanied by a commentary and complementary quotes from diverse masters, philosophers and thinkers, and is interspersed with comparative passages from the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, the Guru Granth Sahib, the Qur'an, as well as other sacred texts. The author offers a fresh translation, with information about the original language and explanations as to why certain phrases have been interpreted differently by different translators. The work uncovers the many layers of meaning inherent in the original script, it illuminates the similarities with faiths and philosophies from around the globe, and includes an additional chapter on meditation. It was written as a work of love, undertaken with great devotion to nourishing peace and well-being in a time of division and turbulence. As Lao Tzu pointed out, we have all we need to create a good and satisfying life for everyone, only the wandering mind prevents us from living with balance, sufficiency and joy. While we are distracted by the comparative values of mono-theist, poly-theist or non-theist doctrines we miss the pure and beautiful gem that rests at the centre of them all.  With tolerance, understanding and compassion we can each be a forerunner for change, not by believing one thing or another, but simply by being fully present to the pure heart in each unfolding moment.  The Tao Te Ching offers practical advice on achieving just this: a must read!

About the Author

A J Girling was introduced to Taoism, and initiated by a Taoist Master, in the 1980's and has dedicated extensive time to the research and contemplation that resulted in this translation of the Tao Te Ching. Study of Taoist philosophy ultimately led Girling to the discovery that the hearts of even the most seemingly different religions hold the same core truths: all are ultimately founded on universal love and mindfulness. This was the driving force behind the creation of a work that illustrates, through Lao Tzu's teaching, the commonality and interconnectedness inherent in the whole of existence. Taoism has become a way of life for the translator, shaping every minute of every day, bringing greater peace, happiness and fulfillment. It is ongoing practice that pays off with every step. As Lao Tzu pointed out: How can one attain stillness? By bringing it slowly to life. Lao Tzu

Great book

A delightful and uplifting translation of Tao Te Ching from a practitioner’s point of view. The author’s commentaries on intellectual translations and the comparisons of related philosophies from various religions are particularly intriguing.Interestingly enough, the book also addresses many contemporary issues that humanity is struggling with. It is also overflowing with love and compassion. Definitely, a labor of love and it shines through every page.In summary, I found this book to be very inspiring and enriching.

An excellent book on the Tao Te Ching, which is unique in my eyes, showing that spirituality is universal and not limited to a certain religion or culture.
